Jef Van Campen Presents Project 187
BELGIUM, ANTWERP - March 31st 2010 - From Friday April 2nd till Sunday May 30th 2010, art painter Jef Van Campen will exhibit his new work at Galerie Van Campen & Rochtus (Verschansingstraat 52, 2000 Antwerpen-Zuid). This new work does not only include his well known paintings, but also a new art object, painted Bolders (bollards).
Official opening of the exhibition is on April 1st, 2010 at 19:00 hr.
Bolders or bollards are the typical vertical posts you see on a quay for mooring. Jef Van Campen found in this typical form a new challenge and maritime inspiration for his talent. Jef had replica's made in fiberglass/plastic in the same size as the original (height 61cm, width at the bottom 35cm and width at the top 56cm). He then painted them in his workshop on his own well known artistic fashion.
The replica's were made from bolder (bollard) number 187 at the quay of the old part of the Port of Antwerp, hence the name "Project 187".

Jef Van Campen (born February 6, 1934, Antwerp) is a Belgian post-impressionistic art painter. He is mostly known for his maritime paintings.
Jef Van Campen is most known for his maritime paintings (impressions of rivers, sea and of ships in the Antwerp harbour). His work also contains portraits and still life.
Jef Van Campen rewards the viewer with a nearly abstract/expressionist use of color and he paints with the spontaneity of his experience. Using impressionistic techniques and expressive symbols, he conveys substance and atmosphere with the minimal means that have become his trademark.

My 1999 Chevrolet 2500 express van has started to go out of gear around 30 miles per hour?
when I reach around 30 miles per hour the transmission goes out of gear, I then have to stop till engine stops racing. I have put in more fluid but it still continues. Does anyone know or have clues to the trouble?
If the check engine light is on you should have the code pulled and go from there. If the light is not on then you should take it to a transmission shop and have them look at it. usually fluid will not cause the van to go out of gear.
