1999 Dodge Neon is heating up. I have replaced water pump and radiator, what else can be wrong ?
I have a 1999 Dodge Neon. It has been running hot for about 6 months now. For awhile, it was leaking really bad. I have replaced the water pump, themostat, radiator cap and the radiator. Since the repairs, it was running OK, but little by little I noticed the needle climbing as each day goes by. As long as the car is moving, the temperature reads OK, but when idle (even without A/C runnning) the temperature needle begins to climb towards the "H". I wonder what else could be causing the temperature to rise.
The fan is not working properly. The car is cool when moving because the air is being forced through due to the speed your car is moving but when stopped the fan has to do the cooling by itself.
