The 'devices' are crap. If there was a way for the car to take less gas, don't you think the manufacturers would be putting them on in the factory?!? It's just like diet pills (none of them really work, because if they did there wouldn't be so many fat ppl in the world. And yet, diet pills are a huge $$$ industry.)
The best thing you can do, is alter your driving habits.
No sudden starts, accelerate slowly and smoothly, and reduce your highway speed to the speed limit.
Make sure your tires are properly inflated, and that the air/oil/fuel filters are changed at proper intervals.
