po446 problem?
i recently cleaned my egr valve on a 99 toyota tacoma prerunner and the check engine ligh went away. but then about 1 week later, the check engine light came back on. I Now there is a hissing sound whenever the truck is at a pretty normal temperature. I deleted the PO446 code with an OBDII scan tool and all of a sudden the sound and the check engine light went away. two days laterthe light and the hissing came back. I keep on deleting the code and then two days later it comes back. Does anybody know what to do?

check the gasket for the egr, or egr mounting area for an exhaust leak. are the bolts tight? narrow down the source of the hiss and update.
