Hyundai Sonata Downers Grove Dealer Says Model Is Iihs Top Safety Pick
There has been a lot going on in the automotive world as of late. Since the launch of the Prius, manufacturers have been vying for the attention of the auto media by launching some of the most innovative technologies the market has ever seen. But just because we are making huge strides in one area doesn't mean we have to ignore other features of the driving experience, and one of the most important of all features is safety. I have a lot of respect for a manufacturer who puts safety before everything else, and so I pay a lot of attention to what the highest safety evaluation organizations have to say about every vehicle that hits the market.
Lucky for Downers Grove Hyundai Sonata drivers, Hyundai put their all into the development of the 2011 Hyundai Sonata, which will hit showroom floors in the coming months. In fact, the 2011 Hyundai Sonata was named the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's Top Safety Pick, honors that it shares with some of the safest and most reliable cars on the market over the past several years. Pugi Hyundai was excited to hear the news after all the hype about the Sonata's newest iteration and the safety features that it would include. Now, Hyundai is receiving the greatest validation the manufacturer could possibly garner for its innovations.
But the standards for earning such an important distinction are extremely difficult to reach. To even qualify for a Top Safety Pick, the vehicle in question must earn a "Good" rating in front, side, rear and rollover crash tests. Have a 2004 hyundai Sonata. Are having problems filling the gas tank?
When fueling the pump will shut off at 5 to 8 gallons and then you cant complete filling the tank without having to manually hold the nozzel at a very slow rate. Have had the car back to the dealer twice now and the problem still exists The dealer claims to have replaced some kind of valves in the Tank, but what ever they are doing it isnt working. Any suggestions?
I answered a question like this not long ago :
I have the same type of quirkyness on my 01' Elantra. Try to fill up when the gas needle is at the half way mark rather then when it's on empty. I was told by an attendant that fumes can build up in the tank and the pressure can cause the gas nozzle to pop out. I was guilty of driving around on near empty then only filling up at the half way mark but since I started filling up it up when the needle is at the half way mark the problem went away. You may have to do this a couple of times before the problem goes away.
