Manufacturers shied away from leasing when rising fuel prices and unstable new car sales were the norm, but now that the market is stabilizing they are gradually returning leasing deals that benefit both company and customer. The Accord is a bit bigger and has a nicer trim level than the Civic but they both, like ALL Hondas, will last forever. Also the Accord has a V6 option, so, if you want more power, then that's the one for you.
Of course, Acura, Honda's luxury brand, blows them both out of the water, but they're kind of expensive, even used. I have an '05 Civic EX Coupe and it's really fun to drive, very zippy, but I'd trade it for an Acura TSX in a heartbeat if I could find an affordable certified used one!
Oh, and, speaking of which, if you're buying used, then if at all possible, definitely get a "Certified Used" one, because they REALLY take care of you if you do! Believe me, it's well worth it!!
